The civil society in Afghanistan has been reacting towards military operation of international community that during the military operation of international community in Afghanistan against terrorism. A big number of innocent people, children, women and old people are becoming victims. During the last three years, the Civil Society and Human Rights Network (CSHRN) has being reacting on this issue seriously. Relating to this issue three statements have been released on behalf of CSHRN, there were also a lot of reaction form human rights activist, intellectuals in all over the country, but unfortunately there are still a lot of victims are getting killed, injured and their house are destroyed.

Recently during the operation of the villages (Shewan, Grana and Ganjabad of Farah province) a big number of innocent people were killed during the military operation. The Civil Society and Human Rights Network by asking NATO, ISAF and Afghan National Army to do all they can to reduce the number of innocent victims during the operation.

CSHRN constantly ask the national and international forces to respect the humanitarian law according to the Geneva Conventions. CSHRN emphasizes that national and international community must prioritize civilians during the operation. CSHRN on behalf of Afghan people is also asking the Afghan enemies of the Afghan and international forces to not use the houses of innocent people for their military proposes.

CSHRN requires that all parties to the war respect civilians and do not armed them. It is very unfortunate that the accountability toward victims is forgetting during the operation. CSHRN would like to ask all parties to take the responsibility of their action during the military operation.

This is a follow up letter asking all political and military actors to use their tolerance and understanding in order to reduce the number of innocent victims.
